Clinical Embryology
This module will provide the student with knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of culture systems and equipment used in an IVF laboratory. They will gain understanding of ensuring viability of gametes and embryos cultured in a clinical setting. Students will also gain knowledge of the principles and practice of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), cryopreservation, warming and associated regulatory requirements. They will learn about micromanipulation equipment, ICSI, cryopreservation, warming of gametes and embryos in a clinical setting.
