Fertility, Fertilisation and Assisted Reproduction

This module will provide students with knowledge and understanding of the development of male and female gametes and the process of fertilisation. They will gain understanding of methods of oocyte collection, sperm preparation and insemination methodologies, and identify normally and abnormally fertilised oocytes. This module will also provide details of the causes of male and female infertility, assisted reproduction options and management of patients.
