This course is dedicated to senior surgical trainees in General or Plastic surgery who have a special interest in breast reconstruction and to practising consultant and specialist surgeons to keep up to date with the latest best practices and research evidence in the field of breast reconstruction

Course programme information

  • The course runs over 8 weeks
  • Course material is divided into 4 two-weekly interactive components, each is followed by a PBL clinical scenario online formative assessment.
  • Problem-Based Learning: 8 online clinical scenarios (2 per component) For each task, links to relevant literature and resources will be provided directly through the Virtual Learning platform.
  • Needs an average of 20 hours of private study per week
  • There will be integrated MCQs and various other learning resources, including videos to help learn about the topic.

Assessment

To receive the course certificate and 20 CPD accreditation, participants will need to demonstrate a minimum of 80% online engagement (both online material completion and PBL scenario assessments).
