Tutorials for Integrated Science Students

This module extends the teaching of scientific writing and the art of scientific communication and presentation to second year students. Students are expected to use mostly primary literature in preparing for these assessments. The module aims to extend student’s ability to digest the primary literature on a variety of topics and to write and present in a scientific manner.

This module will also provide Integrated Science students with additional support for other second year modules via revision and exam tips.

After completing the module, you will be able to:

• Write detailed and well-researched critical reviews of the primary literature.

• Draft components of scientific papers and concisely summarise research findings

• Research topics in the literature.
