The WPH Charitable Trust, Coventry Medical Society and Warwick Medical School are supporting a competitive bursary scheme for WMS MBChB students. Ten awards of £3,000 are available including our H Singh enablement bursary. These awards are intended to support students from widening participation backgrounds or where unexpected or exceptional student hardship is anticipated.

To be eligible for this award students must meet the following criteria:

• Have a household income of less than £35,001 as assessed by Student Finance England.
• Be ordinarily resident in the UK and eligible to pay fees at the home rate
• Have firmly accepted a confirmed offer on the MB ChB programme at Warwick Medical School starting in September
• Be entitled to full or partial Government Maintenance Loan/Special Support Grant/Welsh Government Learning Grant/Young Students’ Bursary/Independent Students’ Bursary

 

Students who have additional (longstanding or unexpected) financial needs should identify these in their application. This includes, but is not limited to, issues of personal or family disability, illness, recent unexpected financial or personal adversity.
