Community engagement
Welcome to our community pages! At Warwick we recognise that our local community are the ultimate stakeholders in training our medical students and are looking for ways to work in partnership with local people and local groups. If you would like to join us, or like us to come and visit your group please get in touch with Lindsay Muscroft or Kate Owen - you will be very welcome.
Events
We hold regular events for our patient group, usually at Warwick Medical School. Each session has a theme: we have discussed patient voice in case based learning, what patients think is important to research in medical education and curriculum plans.
Teaching and learning
We are constantly looking for ways to involve patients in teaching and learning, from medical school selection to final examinations.
Current Projects
We have used design thinking to generate a number of projects with patients and received funding to support these projects.
Community groups
We are happy to come out to visit local patient and cultural groups in Coventry & Warwickshire. We can offer a wide range of options including health & well-being sessions, exploring illness and wellness through art or drama or Q&A sessions.
If your group would like to help develop material for medical students to learn from we would be delighted to work with you to achieve this. This could take the form of case studies, on-line learning tools or experience videos.
