2025 graduates

We spoke to some of our 2025 MB ChB graduates to find out about their experiences of the course and to hear their tips for new students.

Mel

"The highlights of the course must be the anatomy teaching and the friendships I've built. Outside of the course we set up a society called Asian Soc for the Asian medics here. We've had a lot of fun!"

Andrew

"For any new medics starting at Warwick my advice would be to go for it, to throw themselves in at the deep end, and to make use of the staff - they're all really approachable, everyone's lovely."

Tom

"I was a qualified architect before joining the Medical School. I've met people from all sorts of backgrounds and I think it's the diversity and the different ways of looking at medicine here that have really helped."

Caitlin

"For my junior colleagues starting medical school I'd say it's difficult but if you study well, apply yourself and remain dedicated it's incredibly rewarding. The satisfaction you get from working with patients is second to none."

2024 graduates

Zain

"What I've enjoyed most is the emphasis in first year on the basic sciences, anatomy, physiology and how the course builds up from there and you integrate that into your clinical understanding of medicine."

Emma

"The advice I'd give to someone starting the course is that it goes very fast! So try and use every opportunity you can as it comes along."

Jasper

"It's been great to be in a culture where everyone wants to work hard."

Sarwar

"I absolutely loved Medicine... it's a really good course. I really enjoyed the interaction with the senior consultants and clinicians. If you're keen and proactive you can learn so much."

Rebecca

"What I've most enjoyed about the course is how much time we've spent in hospitals, even in the first year."

Stanimir

"My advice is to be kind to yourself! It's a long journey and it's tough, but if you seek help early and you have your support network you'll do just fine. Everyone's here to support you and it's a really nice community so make sure you get involved."

2022 graduates

Gabriela

Gabriela

Gabriela graduated from the MB ChB at Warwick in 2022. During her time at WMS, Gabriela set up In2MedSchool, a national widening participation initiative that supports students from underprivileged backgrounds who want to study medicine and get to university. It initially focused on providing virtual mentoring, matching up medical students with sixth form students to provide guidance on the application process and to share experiences of studying medicine.

Now a charity, In2MedSchool has gone from strength to strength, with Gabriela being recognised for her work with several prestigious awards.
