Facilities

Computing and Advanced Microscopy Development Unit (CAMDU)

CAMDU is home to multiple commercial light microscopes and custom-built systems alongside Wellcome-funded lattice light sheet microscopy and visitor programme (coming soon); computational workstations, software development and petabyte data storage array are also in place.

2

Facilities

Bioinformatics Support

The Division provides support for bioinformatics activities by means of two dedicated Research Fellows with expertise in Genomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, Data Storage and Analysis. PIs should submit an Expression of Interest Form for projects involving substantial support.

3

Facilities

Cyber-Infrastructure for Microbial Bioinformatics

Entrobase provides resources for analyzing and visualizing genomic variation within 1000s of Escherichia coli and Salmonella genomes. The MRC Cloud Infrastructure for microbial bioinformatics provides access to computing power, storage and bioinformatics tools.

4

Facilities

Electron Microscopy

The University's Research Technology Platform houses a transmission cryo-electron microscope with in-column energy filter and a top of the line director electron detector and is a partner in the MRC-funded midlands Cryo-EM facility which will deliver access to 300Kv instrumentation.

5

Facilities

Proteomics

The Proteomics Research Technology Platform undertakes collaborative projects with both UK and international academic or commercial institutions using protein profiling, quantitative proteomic studies, phosphorylation and post-translational modification mapping.

6

Facilities

Zebrafish

Our 1200-tank aquatics system is built with support from the Warwick Medical School and the Wellcome Trust. The facility supports zebrafish research by groups accross the University, to address questions of fundamental and biomedical relevance.
