Students should take the following modules.
UNUSUAL OPTIONS (click to expand)
The modules listed above are the ones that you will be automatically registered for. If you wish to take an unusual option, you should consult our document on unusual options and discuss things with your personal tutor before taking any such modules.
OVERLOAD
Where options are taken, so that the load exceeds the normal load, the marks for all modules attempted will appear on your University transcript. The overall year mark will be calculated as the arithmetic mean of the subset of whole modules, weighted according to their credit weighting, which satisfies the course regulations and results in the highest mark.
BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT PATHWAY
WBS offer the opportunity to study a coherent programme of WBS modules and graduate with a ‘Physics with Business and Management' pathway award. Over the course of the three years of the BSc, you would need to pass at least 90 credits of WBS modules including:
- At least three WBS Gateway modules (45 credits)
- Up to three further WBS modules (totalling no less than 45 credits)
These can be studied in any permitted combination (prerequisites may apply).
You can start in the first year or second year. You transfer formally to the pathway at the end of year 2. If you start in year 1, you should register for one of the gateway modules (these can be found by following the WBS modules link) as an unusual option.
The lectures are recordings and can be studied at any time. There is a seminar each week which you must attend. If this seminar clashes with your lab day and WBS cannot find an alternative slot, it would be necessary to choose a different Gateway module.
