Physics Seminars

Physics Colloquia

Physics Colloquia are open to the whole department and are held each fortnight during full term on Wednesdays starting at 4:30pm on Microsoft Teams. These aim to bring a wide variety of cutting edge research from high profile speakers to the attention of a general audience of physicists. The level is suitable for all staff, postgraduates and final year MPhys students.

Attendance at these colloquia is compulsory for all PhD students as part of their general training programme.

Postgraduate Seminars

These informal seminars provide a non-threatening atmosphere for postgraduates and postdocs to practice public speaking. They are also an opportunity to find out what is going on in other groups within the physics department.

Seminars are on Thursday evenings, starting at 5:30pm and finishing when the wine runs out!

f you would like to give a talk, please contact Anna-Maria Cutolo (anna-maria.cutolo@warwick.ac.uk) or Gareth Jones (g.jones.6@warwick.ac.uk)

Attendance at these colloquia is recommended for all PhD students.
