More success with the Hubble Space Telescope for the Astronomy group

In the most recent allocation of observing programmes on the Hubble Space Telescope with Astronomy group successfully obtain four observing programmes for a diverse range of scientific goals. These include unveiling the nature of a star that may have just survived a supernova-like explosion (GO 14600, Gaensicke), unveiling the properties of the first gravitational wave counterparts (GO 12804 Levan), searching for the faint fading signatures of outbursts from neutron stars with super-strong magnetic fields (GO 12805 Levan) and determining the fate of planetary systems (GO 14813, Manser). These four programmes were won against an oversubscription of a factor of 7, and continue the groups position as the most successful institute in Europe for winning time on Hubble (see: https://www2.warwick.ac.uk/newsandevents/pressreleases/the_university_of_warwick_is_europe146s_most_successful_user_of_hubble_space_telescope1/)
