Dr Peng Wang named in the 2023 Highly Cited Researcher List

Dr Peng Wang (Microscopy group) has been named as a Highly Cited Researcher in the Clarivate's 2023 list.Link opens in a new window The researchers are those whose publications are most often cited in academic journals that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year.

Peng's current research is focused on two main areas: the development of novel computational diffractive imaging techniques and the examination of atomic structures of materials across various fields. Peng has been developing novel transmission electron microscopy techniques and implementing them to examine atomic structures of materials in both physical and biological sciences. He has focused on the development of novel computational diffractive imagine techniques (ptychography, 4D STEM) and instruments. His group recently demonstrated the first experiment of cryogenic ptychographic biological imaging and pioneered the integration of ptychography and 3D reconstructions (single-particle analysis) in Cryo-EM.
