The Ogden Trust announced annual award recognising the exceptional contributions of postgraduate ambassadors to Physics outreach

Congratulations to Joe Creegen who received The Ogden Trust award for exceptional contribution to Physics outreach highlighting his dedication and ongoing support of the department's outreach work.

Joe has been pivotal in supporting Christmas Lectures and hosting school visits, engaging school children and the local community with everyday Physics. Joe has demonstrated his dedication to outreach by developing and adapting experiments to support a local Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school with visits to the department, ensuring all students could engage meaningfully with science.

Ally, Outreach Officer says "This is a brilliant example of the value that PhD students bring to the department's outreach work. Children have been so inspired to meet real life scientists and Joe has been brilliant at considering how we can remove barriers to make physics more accessible to them."
