Full text:  The Science and Technology Facilities Council and the Nuclear Security Science Network invite applications for its NuSec summer 2021 pilot project funding call. This supports small projects in topics related to nuclear security and to bring very early ideas to a point ready for further grant applications. Projects must be from the natural sciences or engineering and address a relevant aspect of nuclear security. Proposals will need to demonstrate the potential impact to enhance nuclear security within the UK. Researchers who are either working within UK universities, or working in companies or government laboratories may apply as the proposed supervisor. Collaborations are also welcome between universities and industrial partners. Up to five projects will be funded. Funding is worth up to £4,000 and projects may last for two to three months.
