Full text:  The Royal Society invites applications for the Kan Tong Po visiting fellowships. These enable UK- or US-based scientists to collaborate with Hong Kong-based academics, or Hong Kong-based scientists to collaborate with academics in the UK or US. Research must be within natural sciences, including biological research, chemistry, engineering, mathematics and physics but excluding clinical medicine. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent research experience and must hold a permanent or fixed-term contract in an eligible organisation in the UK, US or Hong Kong. Ineligible organisations include industrial, private and commercial organisations, university spin-out companies, governmental bodies and research councils. The eligible institutions in Hong Kong are the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the City University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Fellowships provide up to £3,000 for airfare and subsistence for visits lasting up to three months.
