Warwick to CERN 2012

19 Budding scientists won a competition to go on an all-expenses-paid trip to CERN, the biggest and most advanced particle physics laboratory, in Switzerland. The 14 year old girls, from 9 schools accross Coventry and Warwickshire flew to Geneva, where they were taken underground at the CMS particle detector and lunched with physicists.

The trip was organised by the University of Warwick and funded by HE STEM.
