Visits to Schools
We are always happy to visit local schools and colleges to meet students and wherever possible an academic will come into the school, but they are very busy people and this relies on their goodwill and availability.
Activities that have been run recently at local schools include,
- Making UV bead bracelets and keyrings to teach about the dangers of the sun and UV light.
- Finding out what happens when you put mentos in coke
- Investigating liquid nitrogen
The Department's visit to a local school has been featured in the Evening Telegraph in the past.
If you would like to arrange a visit to your School or a visit to the University of Warwick Physics Department please get in contact. For details on some of the other outreach projects that I have been involved with please visit Outreach Projects.
For University visits, be it a University wide open day or details on what the Physics department has to offer and has offered in the past please take a look at our visits to the University page.
