Background
I completed my Physics MSci at Royal Holloway, University of London in 2014. I am currently researching topological insulators under the supervision of Prof. Geetha Balakrishnan.
Current Work
My research focuses on topological insulators (TIs), which are materials that are insulating in their bulk but have topologically protected conducting surface states.
The project involves the synthesis of high quality TIs and characterisation of their bulk and transport properties. The focus of the investigation will be on the structural aspects of the samples, information from which will be used to design and fabricate potential materials with TI behaviour. Materials I am currently studying are Topological Kondo Insulators and half-Heusler alloys.
