Amelia Hall

About Me

I completed a Master of Physics (MPhys) degree at the University of York in 2018.

My PhD centred on Skyrmionic materials and exploring new materials which may exhibit this behaviour. I worked under the supervision of Prof. Geetha Balakrishnan.

I studied some intercalated transition metal dichalcogenides that form in a space group that has potential for skyrmionic behaviour, and some of which have been shown to host interesting magnetic phenomenon such as the chiral soliton lattice.

PhD Thesis

My PhD thesis is entitled: Structural and magnetic investigations of chiral magnets can be found on WRAPLink opens in a new window or downloaded here (PhD ThesisLink opens in a new window).
