Biography

Le Duc Tung was a Post Doctoral Research Assistant in the Superconductivity and Magnetism Group from 2003 to 2006.

He carried out his PhD work with Prof. J. J. M. Franse at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on the magnetic properties of intermetallic compounds of rare earths with non-magnetic elements.

Tung joined the group after spending two years in New Orleans at the Advanced Materials Research Institute, University of New Orleans, working with Prof. O'Connor.

Research Interests

Areas of interest include nano-structured magnetic materials, dilute magnetic semiconductors, thin films, crystal growth, intermetallic and oxidic magnetic and superconductivity materials.

Present Address

After working as a post doc at the University of Liverpool, Dr Le Duc Tung is currently a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at University College London.
