Funded PhD positions available

Funded PhD positions are available to work with Emma MacPherson on "Fast Terahertz Imaging and Spectroscopy", and with James Lloyd-Hughes on "Ultrafast terahertz spectroscopy of novel perovskite photovoltaics". Please get in touch if you are interested in a PhD or MSc by Research in the group. These are funded studentships lasting 3.5 years, and are available to UK and EU students.

Welcome to Emma MacPherson!

emma.jpgWelcome to Emma MacPherson, who has just joined the Physics Department. Emma has moved from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she has led her terahertz group for 9 years, and is setting up her new labs and group in Warwick. She was also awarded recently a prestigeous Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit award.

New paper on rotatable terahertz polarisation

Our recent work on creating a terahertz time-domain spectrometer with an arbitrarily rotatable, linear polarisation state has just been published in Scientific Reports. Congratulations to Connor and Michele on their work on this article. Read more here.

New paper on optical quantum Hall effect published

Congratulations to Michele and our collaborators at ETH Zurich and Nanosilicon in Warwick on the publication of our recent work on the optical quantum Hall effect in strained Ge quantum wells.
