Covid-19 Statistics: reliable evidence?
This talk was given as part of an Inns of Court College of Advocates Experts Webinar.
Statistics on infections and deaths from Covid-19 are topics for debate, disagreement and decisions. These debates were used to explain challenges which the judicial process meet in seeking evidence for civil or criminal cases. Professor Hutton discussed the difficulties in collecting and interpreting statistics, and the implications for assessing evidence and expert opinions.
