This module is a version of the popular LC taught on our executive programme but emphasising leadership and change management in service industries. It stresses the importance of leading oneself and others to create great customer experiences and the application of contemporary concepts in leadership, change and their interrelationship. It covers the following topics:
- The new leadership
- Contemporary models of Change
- The strategic context
- Appreciative approaches, positive psychology, strengths and resilience
- Emotions at work
- Personal and organisational transformation
- Decision making in complexity and uncertainty
This module is experiential and interactive. It is evidence-based using a variety of inputs (group exercises, simulations and case studies) so that participants will understand the importance of leadership in changing organisations and the strengths of their own styles.
This is a course module on MSc Service Management and Design.
