Title: “Application of system identification to battery modelling”

Dr Dhammika Widanalage is an Associate Professor in the Energy Group at WMG, University of Warwick and was the recipient of the WMG Early Career Researcher of the Year award in 2016. He is a Project Organiser with a visiting position at the Alan Turing Institute and leads the battery modelling research in the group.

He is a PI and Co-I on several EPSRC /Faraday Institute/IUK /EU H2020 funded projects and currently leads the Reduced Order Modelling and Control activity of the Faraday Institution funded Multiscale Modelling project.

His research interests are in system identification, lithium-ion battery dynamics and machine learning. During his lecture Dhammika will present some of his research findings in these areas.
