English for Global Communication (EGC) Summer School

Overview

The University of Warwick’s English for Global Communication (EGC) programme is designed for undergraduate students from global universities. It consists of three weeks of tuition with a focus on the development of English language and intercultural skills. It is designed to equip students with the skills, strategies and competencies that are needed in today's globally connected world.

The programme provides an opportunity to meet with students of different nationalities from other universities, experience academic and campus life at one of the top global universities and enjoy a programme of cultural visits including a day trip to London and a visit to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour .

The programme fee is £2,275 and also includes:

  • Accommodation - either student accommodation with a private study bedroom, communal kitchen and Wi-Fi or half-board with a carefully selected local host family;

  • A visit to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour including ticket and transport;
  • A day trip to London and additional cultural trips to Warwick Castle, Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon and Oxford including ticket and transport;
  • An-end-of-course Certificate of Attendance.
  • Airport pickups and a bus pass to allow you to explore the local area;
  • Full registration as a Warwick student with access to all campus facilities;
  • A welcome and farewell group buffet lunch in the Conference Suite with the teaching staff;
