English Through Shakespeare Summer School


English Through Shakespeare Summer School is for students who are learning English and want to develop their English language proficiency by spending three weeks immersed in a William Shakespeare experience.

The programme will be held at the University of Warwick and is led by experienced Teaching Fellows and visiting Shakespearean experts. Student or homestay accommodation with carefully selected local host families is included as well as the following:

  • Two visits to London, one for general sight-seeing and one watching a play at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre on the banks of the River Thames.
  • An accompanied visit to the university town of Cambridge, attending the Shakespeare Festival.
  • An accompanied visit to Stratford Upon Avon and Shakespeare's birthplace
  • Watching a play at the world-famous Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre including a back-stage tour
  • An accompanied visit to Anne Hathaway's cottage
  • An accompanied visit to Mary Arden's farm
