Who are these classes for?
Anyone is welcome to join the class. The only restriction is that for insurance reasons, there is a minimum age of 18. All levels are welcome, we will group learners depending on the numbers of teachers available and we can promise you a friendly reception.
Who are the teachers?
The teachers are students on the MA in English Language Teaching in the Centre for Applied Linguistics. They are already qualified teachers and have at least two years teaching experience (often much more). They are studying to develop their expertise and to further their careers.
What will the classes be about?
The classes will be General English classes, including speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary. They will be innovative and hopefully a lot of fun
Do I need to enrol? Or pay?
These classes are free to attend but we ask that you register beforehand.
Do I have to be a student at Warwick University?
No. All are welcome.
Why are you running these classes?
There are two main reasons to run these classes. The first is that students on the MA are often keen to have an opportunity to put into practice some of the new techniques that they are learning about on their MA. They may also be interested in investigating aspects of classroom interaction for their research projects. The second, and very important reason is that they often feel that they would like to give something back to the community in which they are studying and this is a way to do that.
