Two-step authentication

This is an extra layer of security in addition to your account passwords

In addition to having a strong password you could also increase your account security through two-step verification also known as two-factor authentication.

This involves adding another layer of security to your account in addition to your password, before being able to access your account.

Adding another step before you access your account, usually looks like:

1- Entering your password

2- Put in the code you received on your mobile phone, or asking you to use a fingerprint, or asking you to verify from your phone, or using a bar code to authenticate.

Adding this extra security layer is usually done from the account settings.

While adding passwords to your accounts are mandatory, 2-step verifications are not required but are highly advisable.
