Peter Blegvad, English and Creative Writing professor, has won a Silver Sony Radio Academy Award for Best Drama with his radiophonic play ‘Use It Or Lose It’.

The Summer Ceremonies are a celebration of our students' successes and achievements and, with two ceremonies each day and three on Tuesday 19th, will see around 4,000 students graduating from the University.

Warwick’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Bristol on Friday 9 July in recognition of his many achievements within the field of geography.

Students' Union Awarded Gold Sound Environmental Impact Award
The Students' Union (SU) has been awarded a Gold Sound Environmental Impact award at the Union of Students Services Ltd (NUSSL) AGM and Conference Awards Dinner. Warwick's Union is one of only 5 in the UK to receive the award, with 83 Unions taking part in total.
Gold for Warwick at the TUCO Food Service Skills Challenge 2010
The 17th annual TUCO Chefs’ and Food Service Skills Challenge took place on 23 March in Blackpool, with Warwick’s Ramkumar Govindaswamy scooping the top prize of gold in the Food Service Skills Challenge.
The Queen Presents Royal Award to WMG
The Queen has formally presented the University of Warwick and WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group) with a Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education at a special ceremony and reception at Buckingham Palace on Friday 19th February.

New Year's Honours 2010
Several people connected with Warwick were honoured in this year's New Year's Honours List, including Professor David Storey, Professor Robert Burgess, Trudi Elliott and Professor Ian Crute.
RaW's Success at Student Radio Awards
Warwick's student radio station, RaW, brought home three gold awards, two silver awards, and the Kevin Greening Creativity Award at this year's Student Radio Awards in London after being nominated nine times in six different categories. Despite increased standards across all categories this has been RaW's best year at the awards since 2003.
