Certificate of Coaching Practice : Coaching Conversations

This certificate is available to students following the BA in Liberal Arts degree or one of the BASc Global Sustainable Development joint degrees.

To have this achievement recognised on your HEAR students must:

attend five two-hour workshops and prepare weekly practical tasks, which are formally assessed; at the end of the course, submit a reflective essay.

Certificate of Professional Communication

This certificate is available to students following the BA in Liberal Arts degree or one of the BASc Global Sustainable Development joint degrees.

To have this achievement recognised on your HEAR students must:

attend five three-hour workshops; complete an e-portfolio; deliver a presentation on their placement.

Certificate of Digital Literacy

This certificate is available to students following the BA in Liberal Arts degree or one of the BASc Global Sustainable Development joint degrees.

To have this achievement recognised on your HEAR students must:

take part in five two-hour workshops and engage in independent study; produce a reflective journal on 'myporfolio'.

Study Skills for Life Sciences

This skills-based module is offered for all Year 1 students in the School of Life Sciences.

To have this achievement recognised on your HEAR students must:

attend a compulsory session on reflective practice and an introduction to 'myportfolio'; attend a minimum of six further sessions; keep a reflective log of their learning and development; give a short presentation to staff and peers.

Economics Briefings Project

This is open to all 2nd and 3rd year students.

To have this achievement recognised on your HEAR students must:

Act as supervisors to first year students undertaking the Economics Briefing Project. Act as Head of Division supervising the briefings submitted by groups of five first year students; Act as Head of Division for a minimum of 12 briefings.

Economics Undergraduate Mentor Scheme

This is open to all 2nd and 3rd year students.

To have this achievement recognised on your HEAR students must:

Organise and run at least 7 meetings; Provide feedback to the Department on the meetings and the support offered.

Economics Personal Development Module

To have this achievement recognised on your HEAR students must:

Attend all the compulsory activities in the module; Achieve 100 credits to Pass; Achieve 110 credits to Pass with Merit; Achieve 120 credits to Pass with Distinction.

Music Scholarships

To have this achievement recognised on your HEAR students must:

have been awarded a music scholarship and fulfilled any additiona requirements pertaining to the receipt of the award, as set out by the Music Centre.
