Information for Students
The Chaplaincy facilities are for people of all faiths and no faith.
We are an inclusive space - everyone is welcome.
Support and Guidance from a Chaplain
Our Chaplains are available to support anyone at the University: people of all faiths and none.
You can contact any Chaplain individually via our 'our team' page. Alternatively, if you're not sure who to contact, you can fill out our enquiry formLink opens in a new window and a member of the team will get back to you.
If you need urgent help (24/7), please contact our Security Team (all of whom are trained in mental health first-aid as well as medical first-aid). Help is also available from the Wellbeing Support Service team.
Religious Observation and Exams.
If you are unable to sit an exam on a particular date because of religious observance, you must notify your academic department and the Examinations Team of your preferences by completing the Religious Observance FormLink opens in a new window.
Using the Chaplaincy
Click here for the Islamic Prayer Hall which has different opening times.
The Chaplaincy facilities are open Monday to Saturday 8:00am to 10:00pm with your University card.
On Sundays the Chaplaincy is open for Catholic Mass and Church on Campus (Anglican/Free Church).
The Chaplaincy is one of the quieter places on campus, and many of our users come here to find some peace in the business of university life. When the Chaplaincy is open you're very welcome to use the space to relax, study, reflect, pray, meditate or find support. There is a small kitchen with microwaves where you can make a drink, as well as toilet facilities, social areas, and places to study.
The Chaplaincy is a place of generous hospitality: we ask you to please leave the spaces clean and tidy, and be respectful of those around you.
