Support for Your Research Journey
Your research degree is your project, and you are responsible for its planning, progress, and successful completion. Throughout that journey, you'll be supported by a network of colleagues across Warwick, with your supervisory team playing a central role in your development as a researcher.
Every research experience is different. Whether you're based in a lab, working in archives, conducting fieldwork, or creating a performance, the nature of supervision will vary. What remains constant is Warwick's commitment to providing clear expectations, support, and guidance through our regulations and standards.
To get the best from your time with your supervisor/s and make sure that you are keeping your research on track, we have gathered resources to support you.
Remember if you want to clarify anything about your supervision or your PG research life; speak first to your supervisor or your Department's Director of Graduate Studies. If you're still unsure you are always welcome to contact us in the Doctoral College.

Supervisor Development Programme:
The Doctoral College offers CPD to all Warwick Supervisors via an annual programme: below are the sessions planned for 2026-2027. This includes a new cohort training programme for new and aspirant supervisors ( Foundations of Supervision) We will run Community of Practise sessions for supervisors in July 2027.
