Research Centres Review
We have recently launched a review of our research centres, focusing in particular on Category II, or interdisciplinary centres.
This review builds on the 2023 GRP review, which led to the creation of the new Interdisciplinary Research Spotlights. It will examine both our overall portfolio of Category II research centres and the processes we use to manage and review them. The primary goal is to enhance our support for interdisciplinary research and better showcase its excellence, in line with the University’s research strategy.
The review process is overseen by a working group, chaired by Professor Fabienne Peter, Academic Director (Research), with representatives from all three Faculties, from research centres, and from RIS. The review is primarily conducted by Research Consulting, the agency that already helped us with the GRP review. It will also include extensive consultation with stakeholders.
Our aim is to produce a set of recommendations by the end of the summer. We will keep you updated on the progress of this review. In the meantime, if you have any questions or suggestions, or would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to email us on IDResearch@warwick.ac.uk.
