We are excited to introduce the Barcelona International Summer School

Information for Summer 2024 coming in early 2024!

Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona have been delivering this established summer school for 6 years and courses are available across various disciplines and are predominantly taught in English.

When?

The summer school offers courses of 1-4 weeks in duration and will take place in July 2024.

Who can apply?

This opportunity is open to students in the 2,3,4 year of undergraduate study.

How to apply?

Costs -

• You are responsible for meeting the cost of accommodation, food, flights and tuition fees.

Financial Support

TURING SCHEME (4 weeks)

If you choose a 4 week programme you will be eligible for Turing Scheme funding

For a 4 week programme in Spain (28 days) you will receive £480

[Students who meet additional criteria (usually those in receipt of Warwick Undergraduate Bursary and Warwick Scholars) will receive £915]

If you choose a 1-3 week programme then you are eligible to apply for the Short Term Mobility Bursary.

This is not guaranteed funding but can offer the opportunity to secure up to £500 towards the cost of undertaking the Barcelona International Summer School. Information on how to apply and the deadlines for application are hereLink opens in a new window.

How to Apply

1. Please complete the attached Application FormLink opens in a new window confirming which modules you are wanting to undertake and the dates of these by xxx. Once the deadline has passed we shall nominate you for this to Pompeu Fabra University direct.

2. You will then receive an email from UPF where you will be invited to register for the Barcelona International Summer School. You will then need to submit a copy of your passport, your university transcript (you download this yourself hereLink opens in a new window) and provide confirmation of health insurance (you are covered by university travel insurance which provides emergency medical cover - submit thisLink opens in a new window). Please note university travel insurance ONLY covers medical emergencies during the summer school period, not any personal travel you add on to your trip. It would be advisable to apply for a GHIC cardLink opens in a new windowif you have not done so already.
