Campus Orientation

Orientation is for students who may need to familiarise themselves with the campus.

The support is usually recommended for students with mobility issues or visual impairment. It does not generally last more than a few weeks.

For example you may walk with a visually impaired student to and from lectures until they become familiar with the route.

You may accompany a student who is very anxious to their lectures or to the Library until they feel comfortable with doing it on their own.

As a note taker you may be asked to meet a student who uses a manual wheelchair, for example, outside a building so that you can help them navigate through the buildings or get to their next lecture on time.
