The process of receiving your results at university varies depending on factors such as your level of study and student status. Use this page to help you understand:

Undergraduate Students

How will I receive my results?

You will receive your results through TabulaLink opens in a new window. However, you will receive a separate email from Student Records with further information if:

You have not been awarded your qualification.
You are required to be reassessed.
You have been offered optional reassessments.

What information will be included?

First & Intermediate Year Students:

Final overall marks - The final overall mark you achieved in each module taken during that academic year.
Progression decision - The exam board's decision on whether you can progress to the next level of study (next year).
Required reassessments - Any reassessments you are must take before you can progress to the next year/level of study.
Optional reassessments - Assessments you can choose to retake for modules you have not passed, if you want to try to improve your overall mark.

Finalists:

Final overall marks - The final overall mark you achieved in each of module during that academic year.
Award and classification - If successful, the qualification you've been awarded and its classification (e.g. First-Class Honours, Upper-Second Class Honours)
Required reassessments - If no award has been approved, details of any reassessments you must take before you can be awarded your qualification.
Optional reassessments - Assessments you can choose to retake for modules you have not passed, to try to improve your overall mark/degree classification.

Postgraduate Taught Students

When will I receive my results?

For Postgraduate Taught Students, there are two main release dates. For the 25/26 academic year, this will be:

Thursday 4th December 2026
Friday 26th June 2026

However, the date you receive your results on depends on when you started your course, and could be different from the central dates listed above - speak to your department to confirm your exact date.

How will I receive my results?

Your department will usually share your results earlier than those dates, including any details of any reassessments you may require.
At this stage, your results are provisional until the Exam Board's decision is officially approved by the University.
Once approved, you'll receive a confirmation email from the Student Records.

What information will be included?

If successful, you'll be provided with details of:

Your degree award
The award classification (e.g. Distinction)
The official date award approval date (when providing details of your degree to future employers, this is the official award date).

Important: If you have not been awarded a qualification, need to complete reassessments, or have been granted an extension for specific work, your department will be in touch with all the specific detail and information you need.

Postgraduate Research Students

The release of PGR results is very specific to each individual student, as all students follow a unique timeline.

Your academic department will be responsible for notifying you of your results. For general queries, the main contact for PGR students is the doctoral college.

Visiting Exchange Students

When will I receive my results? You'll typically receive your results at the same time as a student at the same level of study at Warwick. For example: if you're a second year undergraduate student, your results will be released alongside other second year undergraduates (see guidance above).

Please note: some academic departments may hold exam boards for visiting students at different times throughout the year outside of the main exam board periods. If you're unsure about timings , check with your module tutor or your department's Programme Team.

How will I receive my results?

Results are provided in the same way as other students at your level of study - typically via Tabula/email from Student Records. You may also receive an email from Student Opportunity.

What information will be included?

The information will match what is provided to Warwick students at your level of study. Overall you'll receive your results in the same way and at the same time as other students at your level, although some departments may have slightly different exam board timings.

Other Student Groups

When will I receive my results?

Students on pathways such as Short Courses, Foundation Programmes or Non-degree Postgrad Level courses (Postgraduate Certificate/Postgraduate Awards/Postgraduate Diploma) should check results release dates with their academic department.

Typically, it depends on when you've started your course, as this dictates when you finish, when the exam board takes place, and subsequently when you can receive your results.

How will I receive my results?

It depends on your course; you may receive an email from Student Records, receive confirmation via your department, or both.

If you have specific questions regarding the release of your results, it's a good idea to check directly with your department.

HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report)

Your HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report) is an academic transcript that is accessible via an online portal. It shows:

Module marks throughout your course
Final results
Extra-curricular activities

Undergraduate students: your HEAR will be updated on or shortly after the day your results are released. Successfully awarded students will also be able to access their digital certificate around this time.

Postgraduate Taught Students: your HEAR will be updated on or shortly after you have received your official confirmation email from Student Records. Successfully awarded students will also be able to access their digital certificate around this time.
