What professional integrity means to you
This Academic Integrity Celebration Month, we ran a competition inviting students to make a creative submission answering the question: How can academic integrity set you up for professional integrity in the workplace?
We received many fantastic entries, which we are proud to present below. The entries were judged by Professor Mary Davis (Oxford Brookes University)Link opens in a new window, who said:
Congratulations to all the students who entered the University of Warwick's Academic Integrity competition on the topic of 'academic integrity as preparation for professional integrity in the workplace'! They displayed outstanding creativity and originality in producing a wide range of engaging academic integrity artefacts: posters, poems, videos, travel tickets and recipes, all with messages to promote academic integrity to their peers.
It was inspiring to see how students applied the theme of preparation for professional integrity to their own lives, reflecting on the importance of acting with integrity now in their studies to later achieve their own dreams and professional ambitions in future. The competition really re-enforces the essential message that academic integrity matters, not just for complying with assignment expectations, but as a skill and value for work and to live an ethical life.
