What’s One World Warwick all about?
This week, you will see banners going up around campus for ‘One World Warwick’. But what it’s all about? Pure and simple, it is a celebration of what we are as a university. Our student body is made up of 115 different nations and we have a multicultural staff community of whom 40 per cent are from overseas. Similarly, 40 per cent of our global alumni community live outside the UK. Our university is at the heart of a dynamic global network of partners with whom we collaborate to provide an exciting range of global educational opportunities and research collaborations. Together we tackle the world’s most pressing problems.
From 11-17 November, teams across the University, as well as our partners and alumni communities around the globe, are putting on an incredible range of events and activities to celebrate the different cultures that make us.We welcome our newest members from around the world, showcase the international opportunities available to staff and students and set out our vision for Warwick’s global future.
In One World Warwick, there is something for everyone to enjoy – and a chance for everyone to learn something new about themselves, about each other, and about what being part of Warwick’s global community can help make happen. So, whether you are new to Warwick, or an established member of our community, get involved and check out the full range of activities at www.warwick.ac.uk/oneworldwarwick
I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at One World Warwick events next week. I hope you have a fantastic time and please remember to use the hashtag #OneWorldWarwick to share your experiences!
