Featuring international award-winning photographers who have documented the devastating conflict that has occurred since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The exhibition seeks to show the valor and unshakable spirit of the Ukrainian people in the face of death and destruction and the horrors of war.
This exhibition has been hosted at the University of Hull Art Gallery, Brynmawr Jones Library and the House of Commons of the English Parliament. As part of an exhibition tour of British universities, the University of Chichester, Edge Hill University, University of Southampton and Charterhouse School, Surrey have previously hosted the exhibition.
Where: The Library 1st floor entrance area, and the Modern Records Centre (MRC) exhibition space

Special Event
In Conversation: Ukraine - The Price of Freedom
To accompany the photographic exhibition, the Library are hosting a special event chaired by Bo Kelestyn, Associate Professor at WBS and Director and Founder of the pioneering Leadership for Educational Transformation programme created to support education in Ukraine. Light refreshments will be provided.
Where: The Library and MRC Exhibition Space
When: 2 April, 4pm – 6pm
- 4pm: Meet at the Library 1st floor entrance area to see part 1 of the exhibition.
- 4.30pm: Optional visit to the MRC exhibition space to see the second part of the exhibition.
- 5pm: Event takes place in the Library Seminar Room (Room 2.22) on floor 2.
