English and Comparative Literary Studies

The Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies at Warwick has a long-standing and unquestionable commitment to equality, diversity, and democracy. We incorporate equality into our core objectives, as well as scholarly and critical reflection on questions of gender, diversity, and ecology. This is reflected in all our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

Our MA programmes address these concerns both as specific programmes, such as the MA on Environmental Humanities, the MA on Critical & Cultural Theory and the MA on World Literature, and in individual seminars such as ‘Queer Theory & Praxis’, ‘Feminist Literary Theory’, ‘Petrofiction: Studies in World Literature’, ‘Critical Environments’ and ‘Critical Theory, Culture, Resistance’.
