Supports the effective management and operations of the department, including:

  • Financial Administration – general finance transactions, sales and purchasing invoices, research grants, travel and expenses claims, providing advice and guidance on the University’s financial procedures and regulations.
  • HR Administration – STP/GTA contracts, supporting recruitment of new appointments.
  • Support for planning and delivery of departmental events.
  • Executive support to the Head of Department, Deputy Head and Head of Operations.
  • Departmental space management, room allocations and bookings, minor works allocation and furniture requirements.
  • Travel bookings and guidance on departmental travel queries.
