Graduation

Congratulations Class of 2020!

As a graduate, you will always be a part of the Warwick community and we are excited to welcome you to a network of 240,000 alumni. Later this year we will be hosting careers webinars that will offer you a wide range of tips and support, so make sure to keep your details up-to-date so as not to miss out. You can do this by joining Warwickgrad or emailing alumni@warwick.ac.uk.

Careers

As part of our community, you can access free careers support from Student Opportunity. Discover graduate vacancies and internships, find online resources or receive guidance on your career.

Simply create your MyAdvantage profile and gain access to guidance appointments, help with career planning and interview and application support. As an alumni you can access these services in person, by email, telephone or Skype.

You can also get e-mentored by Warwick alumni via warwickgrad.net.

Staying connected

Signing up to warwickgrad.net allows you to stay in touch with your fellow graduates, connect to a global professional network and access a wide range of benefits.

Social media is a great way to network with fellow alumni. Discover a range of LinkedIn groups based on geography, academic department and profession specially created for Warwick alumni to connect and engage with each other.

Many departments around the University organise their own events and reunions to stay in touch with you, so it's important to keep your details up-to-date.

Lifelong learning

An alumni card allows you to access the Library, Learning Grids on campus and the Sports and Wellness Hub (when you join a Sports membership scheme). Apply for your card.

With a Warwickgrad account you can access to huge digital libraries of academic journals, books and primary sources. Business Source is used by millions for research, teaching, and learning.

If you want to continue your studies, Warwick is offering an Alumni Discount Scheme.

International Networks

We have recently relaunched our overseas ambassador programme. Alumni from across the world will be creating networks that you can join to socialise, network and keep connected to Warwick. We have already launched the programme across North America, Europe, parts of East Asia (including China) and Australia. We'll be in touch with news about these networks and how to join them over the next few months. For more information please email alumniambassador@warwick.ac.uk.

Graduate Outcomes survey

About 15 months after you finish your course you will be invited to respond to the Graduate Outcomes survey. This national survey collects information on the activities and perspectives of graduates. The anonymous results can be invaluable in helping future students consider potential career options, through resources including discoveruni.gov.uk

You will receive an email from TheUniversityofWarwick@graduateoutcomes.ac.uk and may also be called by IFF Research. To find out more, see HESA’s Graduate Outcomes website, including privacy information. We will be in touch again before the survey starts.

Alumni Advice

We reached out to alumni who graduated in times of uncertainty to offer some words of advice.

'Don’t consider ‘The Class of 2020/The COVID-19 Cohort’ as a label for uncertainty, adversity or loss, but as a label for determination, resilience and a new way of achieving success.'

Anita Chagar, 2018
