The photo galleries will give you an insight into my research. There are a few photos from the launch of my book, The Other Half of History, as well as selected photos from Dakar, Senegal where I spent two months doing research at the University Cheikh Anta Diop. My Senegalese studies also took me to Gorée Island, just off the coast of Dakar, and the village of Ndiobène near Thiès. There are also photos from a conference entitled Memory/Postmemory, Music & Identity, where I chaired a panel and some pictures taken following my successful viva on 1 October 2010. Finally, you can see images from the conference I organised on behalf of the Society for Francophone Postcolonial Studies, entitled Between Utopia and Dystopia: The Afterlives of Empire.
