1977 in literature

During the 30th anniversary in 2007, 1977 came back to life during vivid discussions with protagonists, authors and moviemakers such as Roberto Bertolucci and Erri de Luca. The choice of certain authors to be invited to talk about the seventies, the choice of certain novels to represent those years, is an 'act of memory' in itself.

Here are some of the works generally considered as representative of the seventies:

  • Nanni Balestrini, Vogliamo tutto (1971)
  • Marco Lombardo Radice & Lidia Ravera, Porci con le ali (1977)
  • Enrico Palandri, Boccalone. Storia vera piena di bugie (1979)
  • Pier Vittorio Tondelli, Altri libertini (1980)

In 2007 many novels and also autobiographies were published, which deal with the memory of the seventies 30 years later:

  • Angelini, Nuova California. Romanzo noir sul ’77 e la fine della politica
  • Anunziata, 1977: l'ultima foto di famiglia
  • Calabresi, Spingendo la notte più in là
  • Franceschini, Avevo vent’anni. Storia di un collettivo studentesco 1977-2007
  • Marziani, La trota ai tempi di Zorro
  • Moro, Anni settanta
  • Pozzi, Insurrezione
  • Quattrocchi, Ultimi fuochi
