Welcome to my ePortfolio, which gives an insight into the research I do at the University of Warwick. I am currently in the final year of my MPhys undergraduate degree in physics, and during the autumn term I shall be looking at potential PhD positions for an entry in 2010.

Last summer, I was awarded an EPSRC vacation scholarship to undertake a full-time research project at the world-leading magnetic resonance facility at Millburn House. I spent 10 weeks investigating two new solid-state NMR techniques with applications in protein structure determination. Details about this research can be found here.

My final year research project is in the area of radiotherapy and will be supervised by Prof. Adrian Wilson. I will be working with my project partner, Daniel Doherty, and in collaboration with physicists in the Arden Cancer Centre at University Hospital, Coventry. The project is to investigate a new method for modulating external radiotherapy beams and compare this to existing techniques.
