Why Study Classics?

Introduction

The reasons for studying Classics are manifold, from the fun of encountering the historical past, the improvement in both English and cultural literacy, through to better grades and employment prospects. However, the reasons that a pupil might wish to study Classics at GCSE are different from the reasons why a Head Teacher might consider introducing Classics to a school curriculum, or a parent consider Classics as a valid option at GCSE, A-level, or degree level for their child.

As such, we have created specialised resources on the question 'Why Study Classics' aimed specifically at pupils, parents, and SLT. While there is necessarily a great deal of overlap, these targeted resources will help the selected groups more easily answer the questions pertinent to their own needs.
