Lunt Roman Fort

Part of the Fort was reconstructed during the 1970s, including the wooden gateway, using techniques the Romans themselves would have used. One reconstructed granary serves as the site museum, and the site also contains a reconstruction of the unique gyrus, thought to have been used for training horses. Information on visiting the site and on upcoming events can be found at the official website here. You can follow the Fort on Twitter @LuntFort.
