Intermediate-year students have an independent field trip report and finalists have a video essay due in week 11 (20% of the overall mark). The rubrics for these assessments are attached.
For the field trip reports, it's worth emphasising that any site is fair game. Past reports have focused on anything from Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to local swamplands and the video game Animal Crossing.
For the group video essay, we have 4 finalists on the module, so Pauline, Moitree, Magiesha and Rudi will form a group for the purpose of this assignment. Use the process of making the video to reflect on and extend the reading and learning you've done on the module. In previous years, videos have tackled subjects ranging from critiques of Amitav Ghosh's The Great Derangement, to examinations of global food systems, to an environmental ‘audit’ of the Warwick campus.
