Cultural History Seminar

This paper will seek to investigate new methodologies to explore the history of humanitarian movements and relief organisations as well as shifts in the tolerance of horror. The focus of the paper will be on medical and emergency relief work in times of disasters and war, it will specifically take examples from French history and the history of the French colonial and neo-colonial sphere of influence.
