The assessment for this second-year module is as follows:

• Coursework and essays:
  • Oral participation & engagement: 10%
    • Alternative if grounds for reasonable adjustment: 1,500-word reflection on seminars
  • 1 x 750-word Disaster Brief: 5%
  • 1 x 750-word Book Review: 5%
  • 1 x 3000-word essay: 40%
• Exam:
  • 7 day take-home examination paper (40%)
    
    • Alternative if grounds for reasonable adjustment: 3,000-word essay
